not long ago my elder brother got very sick.
he was hospitalized for a few weeks and his jw wife and children were at his side often.

(i knew, thanks to this site and others like it) the answer was usually something to the effect that they (the wt) didn't want to give 'honor' to mere men by revealing who they were and what their education was.

Because it's a shitty translation and the translators are frauds without much education or knowledge of ancient languages. And the rulers of this corporation don't want you to get an higher education so I'm sure those that translated the NW bible were very uneducated and heavily biased so that naming them would only expose them to public scrutiny and shame.

God is a figment of the human imagination. Gods and Goddesses were invented by humans sometime after our brains got bigger(evolution). Probably after we invented how to make and use fire 300,000 years ago or more. With brains that have more processing power Gods seemed some what logical for a simple explanation of things beyond our ability to grasps without science(back in the day), hey we used to logically think the earth was flat but then wise men like like Galileo and Isaac Newton came into existence and since then only the hopelessly stubborn and stupid still believe the earth is flat. Today most educated people know the bibles account of earth creation is bogus thanks to science. Which means that if you do a more thorough and unbiased investigation of the bible you will find that God or Jehovah or what ever you want to call him, is just a figment of the creative human imagination.

They seem to be setting themselves up for major lawsuits by putting all that in writing. My DFn'g elder would put nothing in writing when I asked them what the charges were and they said "speaking against the organization" I said please put it in writing and sign it which they several time refused. These guys are asking for by this move.
while reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.
because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".

i think the single biggest mistake the governing body have made in the last 10 years has to be creating jw broadcasting and putting their gb members on there... on a weekly basis too.. when i was a kid, i had no idea who the governing body were, what their names were or what they looked like.
there was one or two long term pioneers that knew the names of two of them but that was about it.. when i was about 10yo i imagined they looked something like this:.

Hey I mean these guys on the Governing Body are totally off their rocker and to broadcast it on their website.
